Here you’ll find some of my favorite shots from being in the field with these amazing creatures. I’ve done most of my photography in Michigan, Minnesota, the Grand Tetons and South Carolina. Why is photographing wildlife of all types so thrilling for me? There is this one split second when the light and the subject become one to create an emotional image that I love to capture and share with you, the viewer on this site. It is also one of the most humbling genres of photography in many regards. I’ve had many more failures than successes in the field. My autofocus locks on to a small branch right in front of my subject, after stalking for several minutes to an hour the subject moves away before I can get the shot I want, I’ve experienced it all.
I hope you enjoy the collection I’ve put together for you here. As I successfully capture new images, I’ll include them here.
